Our Core Beliefs

God
I believe there is one God who is eternal and makes Himself known in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-existent, co-equal and co-eternal; and are infinite and perfect in holiness, truth, and love.
  1. God, the Father
God the Father is the creator of heaven and earth. By God's Word the world was created and is sustained. God created man for fellowship with Himself, and intended that all creation should live to the praise of His glory.
  2. God, the Son
Jesus Christ is God's only begotten Son. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and made salvation available to all mankind through His death on the cross and physical resurrection from the dead. Jesus is fully God and fully man. Jesus has always been with God, and is God. He will return in power and glory at the end of this age.
  3. God, the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the person of the Trinity who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and who persuades us to accept Jesus as savior. The Holy Spirit indwells every believer and leads the Church into all truth. The Holy Spirit unites believers in the Body of Christ.
Creation
I believe that God created man holy and under a law which, had it been obeyed, would have secured him to eternal life, but by voluntary disobedience, he fell from his holy state and in consequence spiritual, temporal, and eternal death has been entailed upon the human race, and that, while there is no way to escape temporal death, there is deliverance from spiritual and eternal death through the gift of salvation that was made available to all from our Lord Jesus Christ by His death on the cross for our sins, His burial, and resurrection from the grave.

The Holy Bible
I believe that the Bible is the authoritative Word of God, inspired, infallible and free of errors as originally given. The Bible alone is the final authority in determining all doctrinal truths, and is the rule and guide of all Christian life and practice.

Man
God created Mankind in His own image - originally good and upright. By Man voluntarily sinning and rebelling against God, this estranged man from his Maker. Man's only hope of returning to relationship with God is salvation through Jesus.

Salvation by Grace
I believe that salvation is wholly of grace through faith procured in no part by any works of merit of man, but solely by the atonement and righteousness of Jesus Christ.

Regeneration
I believe that regeneration, or the new birth, is a work of God’s grace whereby believers become new creatures in Christ Jesus. It is a change of heart wrought by the Holy Spirit through conviction of sin, to which the sinner responds in repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. After this initial regeneration, the Holy Spirit continues to work in the believer’s life molding them further into the character of Christ.

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit
The baptism of the Holy Spirit was given to the Christian believers at Pentecost after Jesus' resurrection to empower them to preach the gospel and serve the world. The baptism of the Spirit is a distinct experience from the indwelling of the Spirit and features the demonstration of the gifts of the Spirit in believers' lives.

The Gifts of the Holy Spirit
All the gifts of the Holy Spirit that were in operation in the Church of the first century are available today, and are to be earnestly desired and expected. The gifts of the Spirit are essential for the fulfilling of the mission of the Church.

The Lord’s Supper
I believe that the Lord’s Supper (also called Communion) is an ordinance of Jesus Christ, to be administered with the elements of unleavened bread and the fruit of the vine, and to be observed by His churches until His return. It is in no sense a sacrifice, but is designed to commemorate His death, to confirm the faith and other graces of Christians and to be the bond, pledge, and renewal of their communion with Him and of their Church fellowship.

Stewardship
I believe that God is the source of all blessings, temporal and spiritual, and all that we have and are, we owe to Him. Christians have a spiritual debtor-ship to the whole world, a holy trusteeship in the Gospel, and binding stewardship in our possessions. We are therefore under obligation to serve Him with our time, talents, and material possessions. We believe that the tithe (10% of our income) and offerings should be given to support the Lord’s work.

The Sanctity of Marriage
I believe that marriage is a sacred union, ordained by God and recognized by the church and state, to be a life-long sexually exclusive covenant between 1 man and 1 woman.

The Sanctity of Life
Human life is of inestimable worth and significance in all its dimensions, including the unborn, the aged, the widowed, the mentally handicapped, the unattractive, the physically challenged, and every other condition in which humanness is expressed from conception to the grave.

The Resurrection of the Dead and Final Judgment
All of mankind will be resurrected from the dead at the end of the age--those who have accepted Christ as savior to reign forever with Him in heaven, and those who are without Christ to endure eternal punishment in hell, forever separated from the presence of God.

Angels and Demons
Angels are spiritual beings created by God to help carry out His will, and to minister to Christian believers. The devil and demons are fallen angels who have rebelled against the authority of God and who attempt to hinder God's will by promoting evil and confusion, and by distracting and tempting mankind. The fate of the devil and demons is hell and eternal torment.

Sanctification

I believe that sanctification is the work of the Holy Spirit carried on by means of the Truth in the hearts of His people, which makes them partakers of His holiness; that this work is progressive and is begun in regeneration, securing to believers final victory over sin and death, and perfect fitness for the eternal inheritance with God.

The Church
The Church is the Body of Christ on earth and consists of people who have become genuine followers of Jesus by personally accepting Him as Savior and Lord. The mission of the Church is to preach the gospel, to make disciples, and to advance the kingdom of God by liberating mankind from deception and bondage. The Church exists to glorify God and to serve Him faithfully in worship, fellowship, intercession, and good works. All Christian believers are an integral part of the Church and are to be a vital and committed member of a local fellowship
