Hearing God - Part 2

There are eight ways God spoke to people in the bible, and who are we to say He doesn't even today?.
  1. The Still Small Voice:
  2. The written word (Bible):
  3. An audible voice:
  4. Signs and Wonders (ex. Burning Bush)
  5. Angels
  6. Dreams, Visions, and impressions
  7. People like teachers, pastors, prophets, and Christian friends.
  8. Circumstances.
God is constantly trying to get your attention, and if we could just slow down long enough to listen we might just hear Him. This might mean setting aside a special place and a special time just for Him. Early in the morning is usually the best time. Once this is done you need to get settled and devote your attention to Him.

John 8:1,2
1 But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.2 Now early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people came to Him; and He sat down and taught them.

 Acts 5:21
And when they heard that, they entered the temple early in the morning and taught. But the high priest and those with him came and called the council together, with all the elders of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought.

Psalm 62:5

My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him.

Now for the hardest part... the waiting!

Lamentations 3:25

The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him.
 Isaiah 40:31
But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.
